FIRSTOMO is a seismic tomography software for 2D
and 3D inversion. It interprets crosshole, VSP and virtually any array
configuration data on a standard PC running DOS or a UNIX workstation in 2D or
FIRSTOMO inverts 2D and 3D traveltime and 2D
amplitude data. 2D and 3D kinematic modeling is also possible. The velocity or
attenuation model can be entered with the mouse pointing and dragging the model
or entering values for cells.
All models can be saved into a database. First
arrival times can be input by a simple ASCII file. Raypaths can be visualized
and overlayed to the refined model.
FIRSTOMO supports metafile output for graphics
in various formats such as TIFF, HPGL and GXF or Postscript for Unix systems.
XYZ data for user gridding in various formats can
be exported. Complete statistics and ASCII results can be written. Full color
control and interactive help options are embedded into FIRSTOMO.
FIRSTOMO under DOS runs in protected mode. The
maximum number of cells is principally unlimited and depends on your available
memory. PC must have 486 processor or higher, DOS 3.11 or higher and 2MByte of
free disk space.
