Primary
processing and 1-D inversion softwares for TEM and IP methods are supplied
with the STROBE measuring system.
TEM software has been designed for profile processing and fast interpretation
of single loop or coincident loop data. The functional sections of the program
are organized in the form of windows. All the program sections have a unified
data organization system; this provides flexible usage of each section.
The program provides with time and spatial transient response smoothing, 1-D
inversion, visualization of the rough and smoothed data and inversion results.
Inversion algorithm is based on the method of differential transformations
that allows calculating the local apparent resistivity values. The depths
corresponding to calculated local resistivity values are calculated using a
formula for electromagnetic field penetration depth (skin-layer). This
inversion method gives the best results for low-contrast 1-D sections, but the
practical use of the method has shown that it can also be used in case of more
complicated 2-D and 3-D geoelectrical sections.
IP software is designed for preprocessing and 1-D automatic and semi-automatic
(interactive) interpretation of the profile data obtained using various
sounding array (Schlumberger, pole-dipole, dipole- dipole). |
