TOMO+ - 2D Refraction Statics Solutions Using Traveltime Tomography

Features:

TOMO+, a 2D nonlinear tomographic imaging and statics interpretation program from GeoTomo LLC, brings seismic imaging capability to a new level. TOMO+ includes a state-of-the-art wavefront tracing technique for calculating traveltimes and raypaths simultaneously. The approach is rapid and unconditionally stable for any velocity contrast. TOMO+ combines conventional and recent inversion theories to solve an inverse problem valid for a continuum in both model and data space, and obtain a stable and high-resolution solution. TOMO+ also provides capabilities for geometry, traveltime, and refractor analysis. More importantly, TOMO+ allows users to perform iterative traveltime picking and tomographic inversion or refractor analysis to improve picked times and velocity solution alternatively. TOMO+ is designed using a Java architecture that runs on both Windows and Unix.

TOMO+ version 1.6 provides:

  • Manual and automatic picking techniques for 2D/3D SEGY data, conversion from SEG2 to SEGY, capability for improving time picks with tomographic predicted times (2D/3D), survey geometry display, SEGY header analysis and editing, extraction of time picks from SEGY header, convertions from GMG, GLI3D, ProMax picks to TOMO+ format, and various SEGY display modes.
  • Traveltime display, velocity analysis, automatic picking of delay times, instant analytical velocity model construction from crosshole or refraction data, calculation of reciprocity errors, decimation of shots and receivers, automatic removal of poor picks, selection of partial data.
  • Building 2D velocity models or reflectors with arbitrary interfaces or objects using a mouse button, conversion of velocity model to grids for raytracing, migration, and tomography, display of 2D grid velocity models with raypaths and adjustable color range.
  • Designing optimal 2D survey geometries for high-resolution imaging, create survey geometry with a geometry builder, 2D raytracing for land and marine, first-arrival or reflected traveltimes and raypaths for any survey geometry, including converted waves, 2D refraction, crosshole, and VSP traveltime tomography, 2D refraction traveltime migration, complete capabilities for creating migration data and QC control.
  • Refraction, crosshole, and VSP raypath display, 2D refraction statics-time calculation from tomography solutions or delay-time solutions, and graphical display.
